ABOUT

Hey! I’m Haakon, a Norwegian-American graphic designer who loves old movies, a good bite to eat, and the chance to create something new every day.

After years of study, freelancing, and rewarding internships, I graduated from Millersville University in Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Design (BDes) in 2019. Needing a change, I moved to Oslo, Norway, to make my mark in the world of design.

Ever since, I’ve worked full-time as a graphic and packaging designer at Nortura—Norway’s largest meat and egg supplier and a farmer’s cooperative—helping create a host of designs for an ever-changing and challenging retail market. From their portfolio, I’ve worked extensively with Gilde, PRIOR, VILTi, and specialty product groups, including freeze-dried foods, ready meals, and canned goods.

I’ve also enjoyed a long career as a freelance designer with projects ranging from album covers and small business logos to comprehensive branding and packaging solutions for both established and growing companies.

I’m currently available for freelance projects, with a special focus on packaging for food and beverages, specifically wine, spritis, and RTD cocktails. I communicate and design fluently in both English and Norwegian, and can meet within the greater Oslo area!
